The curtain has fallen on the 13th edition of the Furjan Qatar League, which witnessed fierce competition among participating teams across multiple rounds. The league was marked by passion, sportsmanship, and remarkable community engagement, with fans rallying behind their neighborhood teams until the very last whistle.
The final round of the tournament proved decisive in determining the overall standings, as teams engaged in fierce battles to improve their positions on the table. Hazm Al-Markhiya officially secured the title after a 0-0 draw with Al-Sakhama finishing the season with 36 points one point ahead of their closest contender. AlSakhaama claimed the runner-up spot, while Al-Maida secured third place after drawing with AlNasser in the final round with a score of 1-1.
The awards ceremony was held at Qatar Women Sports Committee in the presence of Mr. Nasser Abdullah Al-Hajri, Chief Marketing Officer at Aspire Zone Foundation; Mr. Ali Sultan Fakhro, Chief Corporate Services Officer at Aspire Academy; Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Hassan, Director of events and venues at Aspire Zone Foundation; Mr. Fahad Ahmed Al-Mana, Communications Manager at Aspire Zone Foundation; and Mr. Jassim Al-Jaber, Principal of Aspire Academy and a number of distinguished guests. The top three teams in the league standings were honored, in addition to 7 individual awards recognizing outstanding players and administrators:
- Best Team Award: AlMayda Team
- Best Administrator Award: Mr. Youssef Ahmed, Onaiza Team
- Best Goal Award: Goalkeeper Tareq Abounda, Hazm Al-Markhiya
- Best Goalkeeper Award: Goalkeeper Tareq Abounda, Hazm Al-Markhiya
- Best Professional Player in the League Award: Player Sayed Ahmed Hadi, Al-Sakhaama Team
- League Top Scorer Award: Player Fahad Hamed Al-Qahtani, Khalifa City Team
- Best Player in the League Award: Player Moaz Essam Al Hajar, Hazm Al-Markhiya
With the league concluded, focus now shifts to the Golden Square Cup, set to kick off on Saturday, 17 May 2025 featuring the top four teams from the league standings. This will be followed by the Furjan Qatar Cup, which includes all participating teams. The season will officially conclude with the Super Cup, pitting the league champion against the cup winner.
