As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting an active lifestyle and encouraging community engagement in sports, Aspire Zone Foundation, in collaboration with Oakberry, organized the “Oak Run 2025” Saturday morning at Aspire Park. The event witnessed a strong turnout with 200 participants of various ages and fitness levels, enjoying a vibrant and energetic sporting atmosphere.
The day’s activities kicked off at 5:00 AM, with the main race starting at 7:00 AM, followed by the children’s race at 8:30 AM. The event concluded with an awards ceremony at 9:00 AM.
The race featured five categories tailored to accommodate different age groups and fitness levels:
- 10 kilometers
- 5 kilometers
- 2.5 kilometers
- 1500 meters
- 800 meters
Additionally, a 400-meter race for children was held, creating a family-friendly environment that encouraged active community participation.
The racecourse consisted of a 2.5-kilometer circular loop within Aspire Park, requiring participants in the 10-kilometer category to complete four laps to cover the full distance.
Winners across all categories shared a prize pool worth QAR 30,000, an initiative aimed at boosting competitive spirit and motivating participants to perform at their best.
The organization of "Oak Run 2025" is part of Aspire Zone Foundation’s broader programs, in collaboration with its private sector partners, to promote a culture of sports and raise community awareness about the importance of physical activity through interactive events that cater to all segments of society.
