The curtain has fallen on the men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball tournaments, held at the Ladies Sports Hall as part of the 11th edition of the Ramadan Sports Festival 2025, organized by Aspire Zone Foundation during the holy month of Ramadan. The festival will continue until Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
The tournament saw thrilling and intense competition among various teams, including the participation of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), which contributed four teams out of a total of eight competing in the event.
Men’s Competition
In the men’s category, TEAM JAGS were crowned champion after securing a 21-12 victory over RMC-ROMD in the final, claiming the championship title for this year. Meanwhile, LEGIT took third place after defeating ASSETS AFFAIRS 1 22-11 in the third-place playoff.
Women’s Competition
In the women’s category, Al Gharafa 1 won the title after an exciting 15-12 victory over Hoops 2 in the final match.
In the third-place playoff, Hoops 1 secured third place by defeating Al Gharafa 2 with a 20-0 score.
Awards and Recognition
Medals and trophies were awarded to the winners by Mr. Hamad Youssef Al Obaidly, Communication & PR Director at Aspire Zone Foundation, Mr. Abdullah Saad Al Saad, Director of Public Relations and Communication at Ashghal, Mr. Fahad Ahmed Al Mana, Communications Manager at Aspire Zone Foundation, and Captain Yassin Ismail, Director of the 3×3 Committee at the Qatar Basketball Federation.
Other Aspire Zone representatives included Mr. Rashid ALMuraikhi, Venue Hire Manager. Ms. Ameena Al Kuwari, Marketing Manager. Mr. Idrees AlSharshani, Events Manager. Praise for the Tournament and Collaboration
In his remarks, Mr. Hamad Youssef Al Obaidly praised the strong competition among the participating teams, emphasizing the high level of performance shown by the teams in both competitions. He highlighted the importance of such events in promoting a competitive sports spirit during Ramadan.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed bin Saad Al-Mughaisib, President of the Qatar Basketball Federation, praised the high technical and competitive levels witnessed in the tournament, noting that the fruitful cooperation between the federation, Aspire Zone, and Ashghal played a significant role in the success of this year’s tournament.
Similarly, Mr. Abdullah Saad Al Saad, Director of Public Relations and Communication at "Ashghal," appreciated the enthusiastic atmosphere of the tournament, emphasizing that the collaboration between "Ashghal" and “Aspire Zone was a key factor in the success of this event. He expressed his hopes for the continued success of the Ramadan Sports Festival in the coming years.
Embassies Football Tournament (Teams)
The penultimate day of the group stage in the Embassies Football Tournament saw the following results:
- Mali defeated China 13-1
- Qatar defeated Algeria 3-0
- Chad defeated Eritrea 7-1

- Group 1: Tunisia leads with 6 points, followed by Malaysia with 3 points, and Tajikistan with 0 points.
- Group 2: Jordan leads with 6 points, followed by Syria with 3 points, and Nepal with 0 points.
- Group 3: Mali, Somalia, and China are tied with 3 points each.

Aspire Sponsors and Institutions Tournament
Teams Awliya-RCA and Assets Affairs 1 (Ashghal) have advanced to the semi-finals of the Aspire Sponsors and Institutions Tournament.
The final day of group-stage matches saw:
- Awliya-RCA defeating Assets Affairs 1 (Ashghal) 5-0
- Roads Management Center (Ashghal) defeating Finance Management (Ashghal) 6-3
With the group stage concluded, Awliya-RCA leads the standings with 6 points, followed by Assets Affairs 1 (Ashghal) in second place with 3 points, ahead of both Roads Management Center (Ashghal) and Finance Management (Ashghal) on goal difference.
According to the tournament schedule, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the final match set for March 16, 2025, concluding the tournament with a decisive showdown between the best teams.
Aspire Zone Employees Football Tournament
The group stage matches of the Aspire Zone Employees Football Tournament have concluded, with the following results:

- Rehab claimed a dominant victory over Scrubs FC 11-0
- Los Galacticos secured a 5-3 win against Aspire Eagles
