Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud is a distinguished Qatari engineer and senior executive with extensive experience in sports facility management. He currently serves as the Deputy President and Director General of Sports Facilities Management at Aspire Zone Foundation, where he oversees the maintenance and operational readiness of world-class sports venues in Qatar.
Prior to his role at AZF, Al-Mahmoud was appointed as the inaugural Chairman of Mosanada Facilities Management Services in 2013. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in overseeing the construction of various stadiums and facilities in preparation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. His contributions were instrumental in delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure that met international standards.
Al-Mahmoud has also held significant positions in the sports industry, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of Al Sadd Football Club and President of the annual Aspire4Sport Congress.
He holds a master’s degree in engineering management from George Washington University in the United States. His leadership and expertise have been critical in positioning Qatar as a global hub for sports and innovation, making him a key figure in the nation’s development.
