LaLiga Business School, LaLiga’s educational department responsible for finding and nurturing talent in the sports industry in cooperation with Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF), delivered their first-ever training course in Doha for three days during the period from January 21 to January 23 at the Torch Hotel in Aspire Zone in the field of "Sports Marketing".
The course was attended by (30) trainees working in the sports industry in Qatari organisations; including Qatar Football Association, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and members of Aspire Zone Foundation: Aspire Academy, Aspetar, and Aspire Logistics.
This training session marked the first step to actuate AZF-LaLiga memorandum of understanding, which was signed last October with the objective of collaborating in various areas including sports education and promotion, the development of strategic projects as well as knowledge exchange.
Conducting such training courses comes in line with the missions of the two leading organisations and their strong belief in the importance of exchanging experiences and building capabilities of professionals working in sports industry, especially in light of the growing sporting momentum in Qatar nowadays that makes it the leading hub for major regional and international sporting events.
It is noteworthy that the LaLiga Business School offers its expertise in various sports fields through its first office in the Middle East, which was opened in Qatar Sports Business District (QSBD) in Aspire Zone.The QSBD reflects AZF’s significant contribution to develop the country as the ideal location for a wide range of sports-related businesses. The Qatar Sports Accelerator is one of the centrepieces of the QSBD and comprises a building designed to fit 80 offices including 4 Anchor tenants and office spaces starting from 16 square meters. Sports businesses based there will benefit from a wide range of services designed to support their development and growth.
