The subsidiaries of Aspire Zone Foundation, in collaboration with the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), signed a two-year strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, on the Web Summit Qatar. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in supporting and developing the sports sector in Qatar, advancing the sports complex and sports business accelerator, as well as attracting local and international companies operating in the sports sector. This collaboration seeks to expand business opportunities and strengthen investments in this vital field.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Ali Abdulla Al-Mutawaa, Chief of Business Development & Enterprise Management Officer at Aspire Zone Foundation; Mr. Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Financial Centre; Mr. Nasser Al Taweel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Qatar Financial Centre; and Ms. Hanan Atwan Al Shammari, Strategic Partnership Director of Aspire Zone Foundation
The areas of cooperation between the two parties include promoting joint projects and initiatives and supporting the business and innovation ecosystem within the sports sector, in line with Qatar’s vision to strengthen the sports economy and develop sustainable investment opportunities.
This collaboration comes as part of national efforts to enhance investment and grow the sports economy in the country. The partnership reflects the commitment of both parties to supporting an integrated sports ecosystem and achieving Qatar’s vision for developing the sports sector in accordance with global best practices.
Officials from both sides affirmed that this MoU represents an important step toward building sustainable strategic partnerships that support Qatar’s aspirations to become a global hub for sports and investment.
