12 April 2022, Doha – Qatar:

Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF), successfully organised on Monday evening the Table Tennis competition for people with special needs. 

Organised as part of AZF’s Ramadan Sports Festival (RSF), the event provided an opportunity for all community members to take part in sporting activities during Ramadan.

Over 42 participants competed in four categories at the one-day event: visual impairment, physical impairment (sitting) and hearing impairment, and mental impairment.

At the end of the matches, which lasted for four continuous hours, participant Abdul Rahman Qassem was able to get first place in the physical impairment category, (sitting) followed by the player Ahmed Issa in the second place and the player Abdul Rahman Abdul Qadir in the third place.

Meanwhile, participant Mustafa Ameen

 won first place in the hearing impairment category, followed by participant Hamad Nasser AlSaadi  in second and Alexander Ivanov in third.

In the visual -impaired category, participant Abdul Rahman Sami  won top spot, participant Ekrami Ahmad came in second and participant Hamad Ali Al marri came in third.  

In the mental impaired category, the player Khalifa Salem Al-Nuaimi won the first place, the player Muhammad Musa won the second place, and the player Salman Al-Sharshani took the third place.

The event sponsors by, Lulu Hypermarket, Vodafone Qatar, Suhail Group Holding and Al Jryan Events.
