Aspire Zone Foundation is launching the first edition of “Run the Dome”, a race that combines sporting competition with community participation, taking place on 28 and 29 August 2026. The race will be held inside Aspire Dome, the world’s largest indoor multi-purpose sports dome, marking a new milestone in the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote sports as a sustainable lifestyle.
Participants will compete on a 4.8-kilometre track inside the Dome, in a climate-controlled environment ideal for endurance and high-performance running. The race welcomes runners of all ages and fitness levels, with more than 500 participants expected to take part following the opening of registration on 2 August. The event will feature dedicated races for men and women, in addition to an open category, providing opportunities for elite athletes, amateurs, and young participants to compete and take part.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hassan, Events & Venues Director, said:

Run the Dome is a true celebration of the community and an opportunity for everyone to experience the excitement of running in a world-class venue here in Qatar.”
