In an atmosphere filled with the essence of the holy month, under the enchanting Ramadan nights that illuminate Doha’s sky, Aspire Zone Foundation successfully concluded the 11th edition of the Ramadan Sports Festival 2025. Held from March 3 to 17, this annual festival has become one of Qatar’s most prestigious and significant sporting events. It reflects Aspire Zone Foundation’s continuous commitment to promoting physical activity, fostering a sports culture among all members of the Qatari community, and playing sports an integral lifestyle that enhances public health and well-being.

A Special Ramadan Sports Evening

In a festive setting that embodied the spirit of Ramadan, the festival provided an opportunity for all participants to enjoy a high-level sports competition infused with a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie. The festival was more than just a series of sports matches; it was a unique Ramadan evening featuring various sporting activities that combined physical activity with social engagement. Athletes, individuals, and families gathered in one space to partake in a distinctive sporting experience that reflected the noble values of Ramadan, including patience, teamwork, and fair competition.

Competition Across Nine Different Sports

This year’s Ramadan Sports Festival saw broad participation across nine different sports, including football, basketball, tennis, and squash, among others, blending excitement with challenge.
The competitions took place in a highly enthusiastic atmosphere, with athletes of all ages and nationalities competing, adding a global dimension to the festival that mirrors Qatar’s diverse community.

Embassy Football Tournament

One of the festival’s standout highlights was the Embassy Football Tournament, held on Pitch 4 at Aspire Zone, featuring teams from various embassies accredited in Qatar. The matches were fiercely competitive, culminating in the final showdown where the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s team triumphed over the Embassy of Jordan’s team with a thrilling 5-4 victory.
Before reaching the final, the tournament witnessed intense battles. The Jordanian Embassy team advanced after defeating the Somali Embassy team in a penalty shootout (3-2) following a 1-1 draw in regular time. Meanwhile, the Bosnian Embassy team secured their place in the final after an exciting 3-2 victory against the Ethiopian Embassy team in one of the tournament’s most thrilling matches.

Awards and Recognition

In a spectacular awards ceremony, Mr. Hamad Youssef Al-Obaidly, Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations, Mr. Fahad Ahmed A AlMana, Manager of Communications, and Mr. Idrees Mohammed AlSharshani, Manager of Events, alongside diplomatic representatives and senior officials from Aspire Zone Foundation, presented the winners with their awards.
The crowning ceremony was a moment of joy and celebration, as everyone engaged in the remarkable conclusion of the festival in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and festivity.

Aspire Sponsors and Corporate Tournament

Aspire Sponsors and Corporate Tournament 2025 brought significant excitement, with teams fiercely competing for the championship. The Al-Awlia team emerged victorious over the Aspire Zone team with an impressive 9-2 win in the final match.
Aspire Zone and Al-Awlia teams reached the final after winning their respective matches against Al-Awlia-RCA and the Assets Sector 1 teams, with scores of 7-4 and 9-2, respectively.

The awards ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, CEO of AL-AWALIA .Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mahmoud, Manager of Administrative Affairs at Qatar Primary Materials Company; Mr. Abdullah Saad Al-Saad, Director of Public Relations and Communication; Mr. Mohammed Taleb Blan, Assistant Director of Public Relations and Communication; Mr. Mohammed Al-Ourtani, Head of Media Communication; and Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Mahandi, General Coordinator of the tournament from the Public Works Authority.
