Aspire Zone Foundation celebrated yesterday in the Torch Ballroom the 10th anniversary of its veteran employees who have spent ten years in the service of AZF including its members: Aspire Academy, Aspetar and Aspire Logistics. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Ali Mohammed Al-Kubaisi, Chief Corporate Shared Services Officer, and all AZF senior staff.
The ceremony was held as part of "Fayez" program, an innovative career and institutional development initiative launched by Aspire Zone last December. Fayez aims to provide the necessary support and motivation to all AZF employees in order to enhance their performance and increase their productivity and achievement.
During the ceremony, Mr. Al-Kubaisi honored 70 employees who served in different positions across the organization since its inception. Voicing his deep appreciation, he said: "This award is an expression of our appreciation and recognition for your distinctive efforts and continuous endeavors which indicate the sense of belonging and loyalty to our organization. All these years are a real demonstration of your sincere passion and dedication to duty, and we consider it a role model for all staff."
Al-Kubaisi added: "Two crucial pillars were behind all of our institutional and sport achievements at the local and international levels over the past years in the pursuit of accomplishing our vision to be the Reference in Sports Excellence Worldwide; the first was the support and guidance of the political leadership of the country and their recognition of the role of sport in the development and evolution of our country. The second pillar was your contribution and dedication to work, your faith in the importance of the role you are playing, your belief that you are not only employees but also partners in this success, which makes us proud of you. Our gathering today emphasizes the values upheld by AZF in its work that the human element is the real capital and asset to any accomplishment.”
Mr. Badr Al Hai, Director of the Department of Education and Student Care at the Academy, and one of the founders of Aspire who joined it since September 2003, expressed his great delight with this honor, saying: "Pride is the first thing that I feel at this touching moment, which brings back to my mind the memories and challenges of more than ten years. Aspire is a great organization, and without its genuine care and belief in its employees considering them partners in success, we would have never been able to continue and carry on our jobs all these years. Because of this, Aspire became exemplary in turning the dream and hope into reality.”
On this occasion, Ms. Caroline Kfoury, Aspire Academy’s Head of HR Services, and one of the first ladies who joined and still work in AZF since November 2003 expressed her overwhelming happiness by saying: "I am extremely proud to be part of the success of the Aspire, which exceeded all expectations. I take Aspire as my second home and have a big place in my heart. I owe Aspire the favor to change and develop my career paths from administrative work to human resources management an area in which I was able to achieve self-fulfillment and found the opportunity to improve. It is rare that the employee has a similar opportunity in any other institution, so I consider myself lucky to work in Aspire. " She added: "It looks like a dream to be a part of this gigantic and unique international project since its humble beginning to become the largest and most important sports organization in Qatar and the region.
One of the touching stories in the ceremony also was the awarding of Coach Ramil Ganiev who was in charge of training our international Olympic champion Moataz Barshim. Peltola has joined the Academy since September 2004, where he trained various classes that graduated in the Academy. Speaking about his career in Aspire Zone, he commented: "Aspire quoted dreams, ideas and plans to a great and spectacular fact. I am confident that Qatar will present to the world a real impressive World Athletics Championship in 2019 and second-of-none World football Cup in 2022 as it has previously impressed the world in the 2006 Asian Games and World Indoor Athletics Championships of 2010." He added: "Aspire has given me a wonderful opportunity to utilize my expertise in the field of sports science and development programs for junior players. My experience in Aspire is really rich with all the expertise, multi-cultural environment, fabulous amenities and international historic achievements."
During the ceremony, a short documentary was played showing an overview of AZF commencement, emergence and evolution over the past 10 years, with highlights of the most important achievements and events. It also included footage of some of the old staff and hung on their experience in the organization during this period, after which Mr. Al-Kubaisi delivered the commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation to the honorees
