17 October 2019 – Doha, Qatar:
HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee, HE Sheikh Fahad bin Nasser Al-Sabah, President of Kuwait Olympic Committee, and Eng. Hilal Jeham Al-Kuwari, President of AZF signed the MOU representing the three parties. The MOU was signed last Thursday 15 October 2019 at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel on the sidelines of the ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019.
On this occasion Eng. Hilal Jeham Al-Kuwari, President of Aspire Zone Foundation said “Today, we are delighted to sign this MoU with our Kuwaiti brothers. Our doors are always open to all Arab countries to benefit from our expertise in sports; utilising them to develop their promising talents.” Al-Kuwari added: “The keenness of sports organisations from around the world to partner with us in the areas of sports development, sports medicine and sports facilities management demonstrates that we are on the right track in achieving our vision to be the reference in sports excellence world-wide. Such partnerships cement our leading role in the international sports community on one hand, and open up prospects for us to strengthen our expertise and expand our business on the other hand.”
The MOU gives special prominence to development of sports in the fields of education where all parties agreed to intensify their efforts to establish a sports academy in Kuwait similar to AZF’s Aspire Academy.
The MOU also includes exchanges of expertise in sports medicine services and provision of medical support services for Kuwaiti athletes through Aspetar, member of AZF.
