11 February 2019 – Doha, Qatar:
Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has announced its readiness to host Qatar National Sport Day (NSD), unveiling a huge range of diverse activities and events for Qatar’s community members to enjoy.
Whether for visitors exercising alone or those doing so with family and friends, Aspire Zone has something for everyone on offer across its world-class outdoor and indoor venues. A jam-packed day of sporting activities is scheduled to run from early morning to sunset.
Safety First
AZF’s National Sport Day activities draw a massive number of people each year. Because of the importance that AZF places on safety, the organisation has never recorded a single incident or accident during the past eight NSD celebrations.
It is for reasons of safety that AZF will keep parking spaces in Aspire Zone closed to the public fromearly morning on National Sport Day itself to ensure that visitors can move around the park easily and in-between venues without having to worry about any risks posed by moving vehicles.
Instead, visitors to Aspire Zone can park their vehicles in the parking areas near Villaggio Mall, Al Furousiya Street or in the area near Aspetar Hospital. Shuttle buses will be provided to pick up visitors from Aspire’s Ladies hall starting from 7:00 AM, and drop them off near Football Pitch 10.
And to safeguard the health and safety of all visitors to Aspire Zone, AZF is establishing a number of first aid checkpoints across its precinct at which ambulances and trained first aiders will be stationed. Visitors to Aspire can use a number of portable toilet facilities which are distributed across Aspire Park.
